Comprehensive Psycho-Educational Evaluation and Testing
Our comprehensive psycho-educational evaluation and testing are designed to ensure a thorough and in-depth assessment of your child’s current intellectual and academic functioning. The assessment, which includes norm-referenced tests, compares your child’s educational performance in reading, writing, and math to that of their age peers. It supports the identification of specific learning disabilities such as dyslexia, dysgraphia, and dyscalculia, providing you with a detailed understanding of your child’s learning profile.

An in-person or video conference is scheduled to review the evaluation results. During the consultation, we will discuss the findings and recommendations for home, school, or other professionals for additional services as needed (i.e., family physician, speech therapist, counselor). This meeting is an opportunity to ask questions and ensure you fully understand the results and recommendations.

ADHD / Executive Functioning Evaluation
Our ADHD / Executive Functioning Evaluation provides objective and realistic data using multiple sources of information. The purpose of this evaluation is to give parents and other professionals (i.e., physicians, psychologists, counselors, and the school) valuable knowledge to make educational or treatment decisions.
Instruments Administered Measure:
ADHD is a developmental disorder characterized by an ongoing pattern of difficulties including one or more of the following: inattention (trouble staying focused) hyperactivity (in constant motion), and impulsivity (interrupting others). Many people with ADHD also may have low self-esteem, troubled relationships, and do poorly in school or on the job. A continuous performance test is used to assess both Visual and Auditory Attention and Response Control to confirm the presence of ADHD symptoms.
Executive Function refers to skills used by individuals to manage everyday tasks such as planning activities, resolving problems, and adjusting to new situations. The computerized test given includes two components of executive functioning: Attention Control (AC) and Cognitive Flexibility (CF).
The ADHD / Executive Functioning Comprehensive report and recommendations are based on referral data that includes sociological, school, and work histories, presenting symptoms, other issues disclosed, assessment observations, interviews of client and family member(s), rating scales, and computerized test results.
